NHS hospital services are managed and operated by the NHS Trust, which would ensure that hospitals provide high quality care and that money is spent effectively. They also decide on strategies for the development of the hospital.
Except for emergency medical care, the hospital is organized by your GP, dentist and optician. Treatment of NHS hospitals is free.
Choosing a hospital
If you need to go to the hospital to see specialists who, in most cases, you now have the right to choose which hospital physician relations. This right, you can choose between hospitals in England (including some independent hospitals) that provide appropriate care standards and costs the NHS. NHS Choices will help you make your choice. You can choose from a wide range of different hospitals and compare them based on criteria that matter most to you. Using Find and select the search function to find the supplier nearest hospital.
Once you find the information on hospitals in your area, please read what others have said about them the hospital. You can use Notepad to the hospital, the opportunity to record their own opinions about the treatment you received at the hospital.
Waiting time
As stated in the Constitution of the NHS from 1 January 2009 nobody should wait more than 18 weeks from the time they were referred by their GP to starting their treatment, unless it is clinically appropriate to do or want to wait any longer.

Complaints about hospital care
If you are not satisfied with the care you receive at the hospital, you can complain.
Talk to employees of the hospital ward or department. The best people to discuss their concerns is the head of department, head nurse at the office or a hospital receptionist. May they be able to solve your problem or if you are in contact with someone who can. Rapid increase of problems with a person in the department is usually the easiest and fastest way to solve the problem.
You can also talk to the patient's mind and connections Service Committee (PALS). Most hospitals have a PALS office. They can give you advice on how to get your complaint resolved. It may be the action of the hospital management of the NHS complaints procedure.
If it offers a choice of hospital
If you are offered a choice of hospitals, first to explain the problem to your doctor. If you are still not able to choose, you should contact your patient's primary health fund advice and service to the Committee (PALS). You can search by their primary care trust and PALS in the NHS choice.
